They utilize a sophisticated Salesforce platform ecosystem to innovate the legal industry and enhance client service and case outcomes. BLF is a leading personal injury firm in St. Louis, driven by the philosophy that technology is a cornerstone of their competitive advantage. They are seeking a strategic technology leader to join their executive team and accelerate their growth. As the Director of Technology, you will be the chief architect of the firm's technological ecosystem and a key business advisor to the leadership team. You will lead a team to define and deliver technical strategy, automate workflows, and manage the data that drives success. Your role involves developing and executing a multi-year strategic roadmap to support the firm's goal of providing excellent client representation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of technical experience with a demonstrated record of success in growing people, processes, and organizational resources.
  • 3+ years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Hands-on Salesforce platform expertise, including comfort with code-reviewing Apex, auditing flow architecture, and acting as a senior practitioner.
  • Solid expertise in cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong background in managing integrated SaaS environments.
  • Experience with data analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and its potential to enhance employee and customer experiences.
  • Ability to flex between high-level strategy and tactical execution.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to communicate a vision with patience and clarity to various stakeholders.

  • Active Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Developer, Application Architect).

Responsibilities

  • Own the firm's technology stack and data strategy, leveraging technology to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Partner with firm leadership on annual budgeting, strategic planning, and firm-wide goals.
  • Manage the comprehensive technology budget and vendor relationships for maximum ROI.
  • Develop and execute a firm-wide AI strategy using tools like Claude and Salesforce Agentforce.
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team to achieve strategic goals.
  • Foster a team culture of proactive problem-solving, accountability, continuous improvement, and outstanding internal customer service.
  • Oversee all technological strategy and architecture, including infrastructure, security, and policy, to ensure a sustainable backbone for the firm.
  • Optimize the Salesforce-centric environment.
  • Ensure systems and workflows adhere to data security and regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, ABA Rules, etc.).
  • Establish and enforce best practices for technology assets and internal processes.
  • Lead and execute a multi-year roadmap for investments in automation and digital solutions.
  • Ensure the overall tech strategy is scalable, secure, and integrates seamlessly.
  • Deconstruct, analyze, and automate core business processes from marketing and lead intake to client onboarding and case management.
  • Cultivate a culture that embraces digital change and data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor for leaders and team members across the firm.
  • Build strong relationships and collaboration with other department heads.
  • Work with department leaders to deliver aligned success and integrated technology solutions.
