About The Position

About the Role We are seeking a visionary Global Director of Technical Talent Acquisition to lead our talent acquisition teams, in partnership with our regional TA leaders. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can thrive in a rapidly changing environment, has experience building technology teams, and who seamlessly blends high-level planning with hands-on execution, while providing data driven insights to evaluate and enhance the way we attract, engage, hire and retain talent. In addition to being an expert in their craft, this leader will need to possess a high degree of judgement and emotional intelligence. In this role, you will define our global technical talent acquisition strategy in partnership with regional talent acquisition leaders, and business leaders. You will build strong relationships with business partners, mentor & inspire talent acquisition partners and talent operations on best practices, set key metrics and KPIs for our talent acquisition team, and create strategies for building a qualified, diverse pipeline of candidates for our positions. This is a full-time hybrid position based in our Oakland Office. Expect to be in the office two days a week to collaborate with our leaders and teams onsite. Travel several times a year may be needed to attend team meetings, leadership training and off-sites. The role will report into the Global VP of Talent Acquisition. Requirements

  • You are an expert in your craft with 12+ years of Talent Acquisition Experience, and 7+ years of mgmt experience
  • You’re a humble, natural people-manager. You’ve managed a talent acquisition team before, and you can establish trust, motivate, coach, set goals and lead like it’s second-nature.
  • You have high accountability and ownership of the results from your team.
  • You are a curious innovator, consistently doing research on relevant industry best practices in talent acquisition.
  • You’re a strategic problem solver and process creator. You understand how to set clear, realistic (but challenging) goals and metrics, and can develop a strategy on how your team can achieve those hiring goals.
  • You can identify recruiting process bottlenecks before they happen and know how to fix them from your prior experience in the field.
  • You understand the full recruiting life cycle from end-to-end. You know the pain points and consistently have solutions for improvement
  • You inspire and tell stories through providing data backed insight. As such, you have a strong analytical background using recruiting data to inform decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Build a head count, hiring and resource strategy and plan for all our hiring needs in partnership with finance, HR, and our business leaders
  • Manage and build a team of Talent Acquisition Partners creating clear team and individual hiring targets and goals, coaching the team on strategies to reach those goals and leading the recruiting team to success.
  • Be accountable for overall team goals in line with industry benchmarks, measure recruiting reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence, and make decisions informed by data.
  • Produce an executive facing Monthly Business Review (MBR)
  • Lead recruiting process creation, communication and adoption for all stages of Fivetran’s hiring processes
  • Be a champion and leading example for Fivetran’s values, and continue to lead talent strategies that will result in attracting, hiring and retaining the right talent at the right time for Fivetran to achieve its mission.
