About The Position

This role serves as a key point of contact for Newsmax on-air talent, managing their day-to-day needs including scheduling, contracts, and wardrobe. The Director of Talent Management will coordinate communication between talent, agents, and various internal departments such as Legal, Production, Programming, and Human Resources. A significant part of the role involves managing talent schedules, administering talent agreements, and maintaining organized records of contracts and important dates. The position also includes coordinating wardrobe and appearance-related requirements, supporting talent for promotional activities, and ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, the role involves identifying and recruiting new on-air talent, developing the network's talent strategy, and leading contract negotiations. The Director will also perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in television, broadcast media, talent coordination, production coordination, entertainment, or a related environment preferred.
• Previous experience working with on-air talent, talent representatives, agents, producers, or other high-profile individuals strongly preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, contract administration, production coordination, or talent operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage complex schedules, competing priorities, and frequent last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with talent, agents, executives, attorneys, and employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential contracts, compensation, personnel information, and other sensitive matters.
• Ability to anticipate needs, identify potential scheduling or logistical issues, and proactively develop solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and calendar management tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented approach and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Ability to remain organized and composed during breaking news, schedule changes, and other time-sensitive situations.
• Knowledge of television production and newsroom operations preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary to support breaking news, special programming, and talent needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for Newsmax on-air talent regarding scheduling, contracts, wardrobe, and other day-to-day talent needs.
• Coordinate communication between on-air talent, agents and representatives, Legal, Production, Programming, Human Resources, and other internal teams.
• Manage and maintain daily and weekly talent schedules, including regular shifts, schedule changes, substitutions, special programming, and other talent assignments.
• Communicate schedule changes and talent availability to appropriate production and newsroom teams in a timely manner.
• Assist with the administration of on-air talent agreements, renewals, amendments, extensions, and other contract-related documentation.
• Coordinate with Legal and talent representatives to facilitate contract paperwork, signatures, approvals, and required documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of talent agreements, contract dates, renewal periods, schedules, and other relevant information.
• Track important contract milestones and proactively communicate upcoming expirations, renewals, or required actions to appropriate leadership.
• Coordinate wardrobe appointments, fittings, styling schedules, and other appearance-related requirements for on-air talent.
• Work closely with Production and Programming teams to coordinate talent needs for regular programming, special coverage, breaking news, promotional appearances, and network events.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating talent for promotional shoots, network initiatives, special programming, and other assignments as needed.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling talent contracts, compensation information, schedules, and other sensitive matters.
• Maintain accurate calendars, trackers, files, and other administrative systems related to on-air talent.
• Support onboarding and offboarding logistics for on-air talent in coordination with Legal, Human Resources, Production, IT, and other departments.
• Identify and recruit on-air talent, including anchors, hosts, correspondents, reporters, contributors, analysts, and commentators.
• Develop the network's talent strategy in consultation with the CEO, president, news director, and programming executives.
• Continuously scout competitors and emerging media for potential talent, including television, radio, podcasts, streaming, YouTube, social media, and local news.
• Lead contract discussions and negotiations in coordination with legal, HR, finance, and senior management, including compensation, contract length, exclusivity, outside activities, and renewal terms.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
