About The Position

This role acts as a collaborative and strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee Members. The Director of Talent & Culture is responsible for strategizing the hotel’s goals, developing and implementing process improvements, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, coaching performance, and delivering heartfelt service. This position leads Talent Management by attracting top talent, championing the brand’s culture and values, ensuring effective staffing strategies, understanding the local talent pool, identifying educational institutions, attending career fairs, creating a seamless and inclusive onboarding process, developing a competitive compensation structure, and supporting succession work. The role also involves being a Culture Creator by demonstrating passion for the team, collaborating with peers and managers, creating a feedback loop for concerns, championing an events calendar, recognition programs, and incentive programs, maintaining communication with team members, and understanding organizational culture through metrics. Additionally, the Director of Talent & Culture prioritizes Learning and Development initiatives by championing, organizing, and leading team member training, and developing service skills and product delivery. The role requires Financial Acumen and Subject Matter Expertise, including ensuring budgets are in place and adhered to, ensuring compliance with mandatory laws, being proactive about changes to labor statutes, and skillfully addressing employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution in alignment with Auberge ENRICH values.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated history of building a winning team
  • Demonstrated HR leadership experience and capability
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong HRIS/HCM/Payroll system experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as a collaborative and strategic partner to the General Manager and the Executive Committee Members for strategizing the hotel’s goals, developing and implementing process improvements, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, coaching performance, and delivering heartfelt service.
  • Lead Talent Management, including attracting top talent, championing brand culture and values, ensuring effective staffing strategies, understanding the local talent pool, identifying educational institutions, attending career fairs, creating a seamless and inclusive onboarding process, developing a competitive compensation structure, and supporting succession work.
  • Create a positive culture by spending time in each department, attending daily rallies, walking spaces, collaborating with peers and managers, creating a feedback loop for concerns, championing an events calendar, recognition programs, and incentive programs, maintaining communication with team members, and understanding organizational culture through metrics.
  • Prioritize Auberge L&D initiatives by championing, organizing, and leading Team Member training, and working with leaders and team members to develop their service skills and product delivery.
  • Utilize sound financial decision-making to ensure budgets are in place and adhered to that provide the Team with necessary resources for events and programming.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise by ensuring compliance with mandatory laws and being proactive about upcoming changes to city, state, and federal labor statutes.
  • Skillfully address employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution in alignment with Auberge ENRICH values, always fostering a respectful and heartfelt environment.
