Director of Surgical Services (RN)
About The Position
We’re hiring a Director of Surgical Services who wants executive-level impact, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to lead a large, high-acuity surgical program. You’ll step into a hospital-based leadership role overseeing 13 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, approximately 120 FTEs, and 30–35 cases per day. You’ll lead quality, staffing, budgeting, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and operational performance while reporting directly to the COO. This role offers a full-time day schedule with no regularly scheduled weekends, leadership of 3 managers and approximately 120 FTEs, and direct visibility and partnership with executive leadership. The surgical mix includes cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, vascular, general, GYN, and pediatric procedures, and the facility has 3 da Vinci Xi robotic systems. This is a Level II Trauma environment.
Requirements
- Recent Surgical Services Director experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Experienced leading complex acute-care surgical operations
- Excel at quality, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and patient throughput
- Value accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care
