About The Position

The Director of Surgery Center, RN oversees the Ambulatory Surgery Center on the East side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Director coordinates and manages the Surgery Center’s planning, development, and operations to ensure the best possible healthcare for patients. The role establishes and maintains quality healthcare services focused on excellent experiences for patients, staff, and surgeons, and promotes patient safety and well-being. The Director is responsible for interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination processes, and supports and practices the organization’s mission, vision, objectives, and goals.

Requirements

Demonstrate a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality, and discretion.
Have advanced knowledge of nursing care according to AORN, ASGE, and SGNA professional standards of care.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an NLN-, CCNE-, or ACEN-accredited school of nursing; alternatively, three years of related professional nursing experience in lieu of graduating from one of the listed accredited schools.
Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
One or more years of leadership experience in a related field.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize.
Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
Strong leadership, professionalism, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in nursing.
