About The Position

Fishwife is a rapidly growing, woman-founded food company specializing in ethically-sourced, premium tinned seafood. We are seeking an Inventory & Reporting Director to lead our planning function, connecting sales demand with production and optimizing inventory to ensure product availability, protect cash, and grow margins. This leadership role involves managing a team of two (Supply Planner and Inventory Analyst) and is responsible for setting policies, running processes, and building the systems necessary for Fishwife to scale. The position is full-time, fully remote, and reports to the Head of Supply Chain.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics, ideally in CPG food and beverage.
3+ years of leading planners or analysts, with a record of developing people.
Proven ownership of an S&OP or IBP process, including facilitating decisions among senior stakeholders.
Experience setting inventory policy and managing to in-stock and inventory investment targets across multiple channels (retail, club, Amazon, DTC).
Experience managing supply through co-manufacturers, including imported goods with long and variable lead times.
Strong command of planning math and ERP data (Cin7, NetSuite, or similar).
Experience owning ERP data integrity, system integrations, and reporting platforms/dashboards.
Clear, persuasive communication skills (written and verbal) with executives and external partners.
An owner's mindset and comfort building structure in a fast-growing, evolving company.

Nice To Haves

Experience building automated reporting with BI and data tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
Experience with shelf-stable, specialty food, or seafood products.
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
Experience at a high-growth brand through a period of rapid scale.

Responsibilities

Run the monthly S&OP process end to end, including executive decision meetings, to create an aligned commitment and forward-looking plan.
Reconcile demand and supply plans to resolve gaps in inventory, capacity, and cash before they impact customers.
Set coverage and safety stock policies, and approve major buy decisions and inventory commitments with canneries and co-manufacturers.
Partner with sales to make operational decisions on pipe fills, promotions, launches, and new customer opportunities, clearly stating tradeoffs.
Escalate structural risks (e.g., capacity constraints, supplier concentration, long lead times) to leadership with recommended solutions.
Own inventory policy, including weeks-of-cover targets, allocation rules, protected accounts, launch builds, and the treatment of aged/slow-moving inventory.
Be accountable for the department's KPI framework, including in-stock rate, weeks of coverage, inventory turns, aged inventory, and supplier on-time, in-full performance.
Partner with Finance on inventory valuation, month-end close sign-off, purchase commitments, and cash flow planning.
Design the function's operating cadence, SOPs, and handoffs with Sales demand planning, Procurement, Fulfillment & Logistics, and Quality.
Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Planner and Inventory Analyst, and plan the team's structure for future growth.
Own data accuracy in Cin7 (ERP), including item setup, BOMs, and transactions.
Own integrations feeding the ERP, such as 3PL, WMS, EDI (SPS Commerce), Shopify, and Amazon, and resolve synchronization issues.
Own and develop reporting platforms and dashboards for inventory, supply, and operational performance.
Set the systems and data roadmap for planning and reporting, and direct the transition from manual spreadsheets to automated reporting.
Run regular audits of system records against physical counts, receipts, and invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
