About The Position

Tempo, Inc. is seeking a strategic, operations-support-focused Director of Supply Chain to lead the functions of warehouse, logistics, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing support, and prefabrication logistics. This leader will ensure seamless coordination between operations, inventory, job-site delivery, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience across logistics, supply chain, and purchasing, and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, contract negotiation, inventory systems, and logistics processes.
  • Strong knowledge in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain leadership, preferably in HVAC, construction, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
  • A creative approach to dynamically solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate at a high level, both written and verbal, and to both internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivated attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
  • Management experience a minimum 4 years.

  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory turnover rates and make recommendations for stock optimization.
  • Lead and develop high-performing warehouse and purchasing teams through effective coaching, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Align logistics with company goals, project timelines, and customer commitments.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, operational-customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain structured performance review cycles for all direct reports, including regular check-ins and one-on-one coaching.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouse sites, trucks, consignment locations, and transfers.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts and be able to reconcile all variances.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receiving, job packing, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, shipping efficiency, and labor productivity.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize layout, processes, and warehouse software utilization.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Ensure purchasing strategies align with project demands, budget targets, and inventory needs.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve any vendor-related issues.
  • Oversee purchase orders for accuracy and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Drive vendor performance improvement.
  • Serve as the logistics and procurement liaison to key departments: Mechanical, Service, US-EcoLogic, and Accounting.
  • Coordinate with finance on budgeting, inventory reconciliation, and supplier invoice discrepancies.
  • Enforce safety policies across all logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Lead data-driven decision-making using internal systems such as Salesforce and Microsoft 365.
  • Execute any other duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
