About The Position

The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of vehicle movement, including sourcing, processing, storage, and global distribution. This role involves leadership of logistics, dispatch, and inventory coordination functions, as well as accountability for international trade compliance, including EAR, OFAC, and U.S. Customs requirements. The Director will also govern VIN-level tracking, title processing, and export documentation integrity, and manage a network of third-party partners such as carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders. Key operational priorities include driving reductions in vehicle cycle time, eliminating operational bottlenecks, reducing per-unit logistics and handling costs, standardizing and scaling operating procedures, and strengthening visibility, tracking, and performance reporting. The role also focuses on systems and process enhancement, including optimizing ERP (NetSuite preferred) for VIN-level visibility and cost tracking, introducing tools for real-time tracking, dispatch optimization, and documentation automation, establishing KPI-driven reporting, and improving data accuracy while reducing manual process dependency. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, who excels in fast-paced, execution-driven environments and has a proven track record of improving performance across complex logistics or distribution operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant supply chain and logistics experience (automotive preferred)
  • 5+ years in leadership roles within high-volume, operational environments
  • Deep expertise in international trade compliance and export processes
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, with experience driving cost and efficiency improvements
  • ERP systems experience required (NetSuite strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Relevant certifications (APICS, CES, or similar) are advantageous
