About The Position

The Director of Strategy & Innovation serves as the operational engine and strategic partner to the Chief Impact Officer. This role ensures the seamless execution of enterprise-level alignment across Content, Technology, and Marketing, translating long-range ministry vision into scalable operational systems and measurable external impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, or related field; or work experience equivalent.
  • Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Grounded spiritually and biblically literate
  • Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies
  • Live Christian principles defined by the ministry’s Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs
  • Participate in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed
  • Passion for leveraging the HMG’s media platforms for evangelism and discipleship

Responsibilities

  • Establish organizational and execution discipline across teams, tracking milestones, managing complex priorities, and unblocking cross-functional projects.
  • Interface regularly with the Hope Media Group Chief of Staff (CoS) to align the CIO department’s operational cadences with broader enterprise objectives and the CEO’s office.
  • Manage daily cross-functional coordination between Content, Technology, and Marketing to break down silos and ensure they operate as an integrated system aligned to audience journeys.
  • Partner with the CIO to translate enterprise strategy into clear, data-informed outcome metrics tied to audience reach, engagement, and spiritual formation.
  • Help design and execute initiatives that tilt the center of gravity toward a digital, multi-platform future across radio, apps, video, and live events.
  • Assist the CIO in leveraging research, audience insights, and performance data to inform strategic resource allocation and decision-making.
  • Actively identify, pilot, and scale emerging technologies, frameworks and media opportunities to expand audience reach and deepen engagement.
  • Create a structured approach for testing new ideas, allowing HMG to act as an early adopter of innovative platforms without disrupting core operations.
  • Infuse data analytics capability into growth and audience-retention strategies across all digital properties.
  • Translate long-range mission vision into measurable spiritual formation objectives, ensuring that content strategy advances true ministry formation rather than just promotional priorities.
  • Lead and facilitate internal discussions, cross-functional working groups, and brainstorming sessions to uncover deep organizational insights and seamlessly translate those internal conversations into highly structured, actionable plans.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through change-management processes, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture during organizational transformation.
  • Design and facilitate the internal workshops and processes required to architect the end-to-end audience experience and journeys.
