About The Position

The Director of Strategic Initiatives serves as the Group President’s strategic partner and enterprise integrator, responsible for ensuring organizational priorities are clearly defined, communicated, tracked, and progressing in alignment with the Group President’s direction. This role owns the organization’s enterprise operating rhythm, including board and investor cycles, executive meeting cadence, leadership dashboards, and priority tracking, enabling the Group President and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to remain focused on direction, decision-making, and outcomes. Additionally, this role operates through influence, coordination, and disciplined execution, requiring strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to work effectively with executives and the board. Requirements

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills

  • Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to travel within the US and internationally frequently and sometimes on limited notice
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • Not barred from any military installation

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted strategic and operational partner to the Group President
  • Maintain close alignment on priorities, risks, and decision points
  • Surface issues early with appropriate context and recommended options
  • Translate the Group President’s intent into clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support executive decision-making through preparation, synthesis, and follow-through
  • Own and maintain the Company’s priority and execution framework (objectives, priorities, major initiatives)
  • Monitor progress, interdependencies, risks, and tradeoffs across functions
  • Prepare weekly and monthly priority summaries for the Group President
  • Ensure consistent focus and discipline on the organization’s most critical initiatives
  • Coordinate the end-to-end cadence of board and investor cycles
  • Partner with the Group President on agenda development and sequencing
  • Integrate inputs from across the organization into cohesive board materials
  • Ensure materials are accurate, concise, and aligned with enterprise priorities
  • Track decisions, commitments, and follow-up actions resulting from board meetings
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine executive-level dashboards across: Financial performance, Operational performance, People and culture indicators, Strategic initiatives
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity
  • Highlight trends, risks, and insights to assist executive discussions
  • Design and maintain the executive operating cadence, including SLT meetings, monthly reviews, and quarterly planning sessions
  • Coordinate agendas, pre-reads, decision framing, and documented outcomes
  • Support accountability for preparation and follow-through across participants
  • Ensure meetings are structured, focused, and outcome-oriented
  • Partner with leaders across Operations, Maintenance, Programs, HR, Finance, Business Development, and IT
  • Ensure alignment between Company priorities and functional execution plans
  • Identify execution gaps, risks, and coordination challenges early and escalate as appropriate
