About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our staff is well-trained to deliver the best possible care to our residents. The Director of Staff Development will provide necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment to help staff gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for safe and effective performance. This role also involves monitoring nursing staff activities to ensure quality of care meets state, federal, and corporate standards, and directing the infection prevention and control program.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents
Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
Current, unencunbrered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state
Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience
Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Responsibilities

Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
