About The Position

We are now hiring a Director of Staff Development Assistant (DSD Assistant) to join our team! We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and we’re looking for a dedicated DSD Assistant to help us support our staff's education and development. As a Director of Staff Development Assistant (DSD Assistant), you will assist the Director of Staff Development (DSD) and the facility with ongoing orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment. You will help staff gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform their duties safely and effectively. Additionally, you will help monitor the activities of nursing staff to ensure that quality care is delivered in compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards. You will also participate in the infection prevention and control program, contributing to its activities and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LVN/LPN or RN program
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LVN/LPN or RN in the state
  • Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice To Haves

  • Infection Prevention Certified
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC)
