Requirements

Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice To Haves

Infection control experience
Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
Experience with PointClickCare

Responsibilities

Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance.
Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures.
Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
Prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission.
Meet with staff, residents, and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
