About The Position

Ensures the implementation of the sales strategy, guidelines and targets in a specified region, for the portfolio of a unit, in order to increase sales with all kinds of potential customers, and to achieve defined financial goals and sales targets. The Director of Software Sales is responsible for leading and managing the software teams, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for the company's software products and solutions. This individual will focus on building relationships with external and internal clients, overseeing the sales pipeline, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience medical software sales (radiation oncology experience is preferred), a proven track record of leadership, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in medical software sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the medical software industry.
  • Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), cloud solutions, and enterprise software is highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Radiation oncology experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for software products and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities and adjust sales operations to address changing market conditions.
  • Monitor key sales metrics and adjust strategies as needed to improve performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales managers and sales representatives to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster professional development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Recruit and onboard high-performing sales talent as needed to scale the team.
  • Drive revenue growth from existing order backlog and new sales.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure proper forecasting and reporting to it metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to develop go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and product specific positioning that align with sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and solutions that meet their business needs.
  • Actively engage in high-level sales negotiations and presentations to secure customer partnerships.
  • Work closely with product management, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on product roadmaps, customer feedback, and overall sales strategy.
  • Provide input on product features, pricing structures, and market positioning based on client feedback and trends.
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams to structure pricing, contracts, and payment terms that benefit both the company and the customer.
  • Track sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership on key metrics, including revenue, pipeline health, and team performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, areas of opportunity, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to meet customer demands.
