About The Position
The Director of Software Engineering provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for development, quality assurance, and customer configuration of the Flexcount application suite. The role builds high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions aligned with business objectives. The Director works with internal leaders across operations, account management, sales, technology, and site reliability to improve product performance and reliability, understand customer pain points and product gaps, and partner on infrastructure and application runtime operations and architecture. The role also supports the creation and vetting of the product roadmap.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics, or computer science.
- Demonstrated competencies in directing, leadership communication, influence and persuasion, organizational savvy, and planning and priority setting.
- Skills in collaboration, decision making, operational efficiency, organization, problem solving, and AI integration.

- Master’s degree in science, mathematics, or computer science.
Responsibilities
- Manage the core development team.
- Manage the offshore development team.
- Manage the quality engineering organization leader and team.
- Manage the customer configuration and setup team.
- Support product roadmap creation and vetting.
- Build feedback loops with operations to improve product performance and reliability.
- Understand existing customer pain points and product gaps that impede sales.
- Partner with the CTO on infrastructure gaps and opportunities.
- Partner with the Manager of Site Reliability on application runtime operations and architecture.
