About The Position
10Pearls is seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead engineering teams, drive technical excellence, and align software development with business goals. The role calls for a strong background in software architecture, cloud technologies, DevOps, AI/ML, and team leadership, including the ability to scale engineering organizations in fast-paced environments. The Director will oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance software systems; lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers; and work with executives and product leaders to define technical vision, roadmaps, and long-term engineering strategy. The role also drives cloud-native development and CI/CD optimization, supports reliable, scalable, secure systems, and collaborates across product, engineering, and business teams. 10Pearls is a global, purpose-driven AI-powered digital engineering partner that helps businesses re-imagine, digitalize, and accelerate. Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in leadership roles, such as Senior Manager, Engineering Director, or similar.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps, and modern software architectures.
- Proven track record of scaling engineering teams of 50+ engineers in high-growth environments.
- Deep knowledge of Python, Java, Go, or similar programming languages, along with modern frameworks.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and infrastructure best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance software systems.
- Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Operate with a proactive, agile, consultative mindset and as a player-coach.
- Partner with executives and product leaders to define technical vision, roadmaps, and long-term engineering strategy.
- Drive cloud-native development using AWS, Azure, or GCP, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and security.
- Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and secure using best practices in microservices, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Work with product, engineering, and business teams to align engineering efforts with company objectives.
