About The Position

As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Equities Risk Technology team, you will lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and being a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Java with multi-threaded, high-performance backend development at scale.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow multiple engineering teams, setting technical direction, driving architectural standards and developing senior engineers and managers.
• Demonstrated track record architecting and delivering complex, large-scale distributed systems, including ownership of end-to-end design, algorithms and workflows.
• Proven experience designing and delivering distributed applications, event-driven systems and real-time processing pipelines at enterprise scale.
• Ability to partner with senior business stakeholders, product and technology leadership to shape strategy, roadmaps and investment decisions.
• Strong track record of organizational influence, including cross-functional leadership, vendor/partner management and driving change at scale.
