About The Position

This role is responsible for driving Small Business growth, profitability, and distribution effectiveness through ownership of OKRs, national partner and agency strategy, analytics, and cross functional execution. The position partners closely with the VP, Small Business to define and monitor portfolio OKRs aligned to underwriting appetite, financial objectives, and corporate strategy. The role leads growth through various agency types, ensuring the right mix of channels, partners, and agents are enabled to meet territory and portfolio goals. It provides strategic direction and drives execution across Product, Underwriting, Marketing, IT, and Operations to reduce friction, scale digital and omni channel capabilities, and enhance customer and agent experiences. With strong accountability and analytical ownership, this leader uses data and market intelligence to identify trends, guide investment decisions, and drive enhancements to products, automation, underwriting decisioning, and servicing platforms. The role also serves as a cross functional leader and field partner, supporting sales teams and agencies through strategic planning, engagement, and clear communication to deliver sustainable Small Business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, Small Business to define, evolve, and monitor Small Business OKRs aligned to portfolio growth, underwriting appetite, profitability, and corporate strategy.
  • Drive the strategy for growing the Small Business portfolio through national partners, Small Business–only, and independent agency relationships. In partnership with regional leadership, define how partners and agents contribute to Small Business growth, ensure the right number and mix of agents have sufficient market opportunity to achieve territory goals, and align partner and agency programs to company OKRs to expand reach, revenue, and portfolio performance through scalable distribution models.
  • Work with Marketing and Regions to deliver effective materials to regional personnel and agents, support agency engagement, and ensure underwriting service levels enable strong production.
  • Develop analytics that capture profitable growth and portfolio trends. Perform cost/benefit analysis, and generate insights that drive product, automation, and servicing enhancements.
  • Lead the team to partner with Product, Underwriting, and Regions to align appetite, eligibility, decisioning, edits, and guidance with Small Business growth objectives.
  • Work with Product Mgrs and IT to leverage customer, competitor, and third-party data, automate workflows, enhance servicing platforms, and support omni-channel agents and policyholders.
  • Leverage industry practices, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to identify product opportunities that enhance and protect profitable Small Business growth.
  • Act as a cross-functional leader across Regions, Marketing, Product, Corp Underwriting, IT, Operations, and Analytics. Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes to leadership and the field.
