About The Position

The Director of Services contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing programs and projects and the shelter. Individuals experiencing homelessness are connected to the appropriate services toward the goal of housing stability. As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Services will be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives with an eye toward both future needs and budget realities.

Requirements

• Degree from a college or university
• Two plus years of experience in human services or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Proficient in CRM (Client Resource Management) software
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgment
• Leads by example
• Sensitivity to individual/family struggles with homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, mental illness, and criminal records
• Values diversity of thought, backgrounds, and perspectives
• Vigilant attention to details with multi-task ability
• Integrity and ethics beyond reproach
• Connection to Churches United for the Homeless mission and core values
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to be a certified driver of CU vehicles

Nice To Haves

• Preferred major in social work - Minnesota licensure is preferred.
• Education and/or experience in a non-profit setting is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Member of Leadership team, collaborates with Leadership team to improve CUFH.
• Assigns caseloads and other related duties
• Analyzes community needs to develop new programs and enhance current programs
• Directs selection and training of Case Management Director, Shelter Director, Case Managers and Shelter Advocate staff
• Assigns work and evaluates performance of Case Management Director and Shelter Director
• Oversees the case management services at Churches United for the Homeless as well as shelter staff
