About The Position

Thompson Solutions Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Service to lead the growth, profitability, and operational performance of our Service Division. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, maintenance-agreement, and small-project operations. You'll work closely with company leadership to drive business growth, strengthen customer relationships, develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in electrical, mechanical, construction, or service operations.
• 5+ years of experience leading managers or supervisors.
• Proven success managing a service business with responsibility for growth, profitability, and workforce development.
• Strong financial, operational, and strategic business acumen.
• Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
• Strong customer relationship and business development capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance and growth of the Service Division.
• Develop and execute strategies that improve profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Manage department financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and key performance metrics.
• Oversee daily service operations, including staffing, scheduling, dispatching, and project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic accounts.
• Support business development efforts and expand recurring revenue opportunities.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor service managers and field leaders.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Leverage technology and performance data to enhance service delivery and the customer experience.
