We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of SCM (S&OP) (Sales & Operations Planning) to lead and develop our company’s end-to-end supply chain S&OP process. The ideal candidate will align demand and supply planning, improve forecast accuracy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and support decision-making that optimizes business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in S&OP, supply chain, demand planning, or related functions.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in data analytics and S&OP software/tools.
  • Proven track record of successful S&OP process design and implementation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the S&OP Process: Champion, design, and lead the weekly S&OP cycle, including demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and product management to ensure a single, aligned forecast and operational plan.
  • Demand Planning: Oversee the demand planning process, incorporating statistical forecasts, market intelligence, and sales input to create a robust and accurate demand plan.
  • Supply Planning: Collaborate with the supply chain and manufacturing teams to develop a supply plan that meets demand while optimizing inventory levels, production capacity, and lead times.
  • Performance Management: Establish and track key S&OP performance metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns), and recommend corrective actions as needed, and report on performance to leadership.
  • Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels across the supply chain, balancing service levels with working capital objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to the S&OP process, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
  • SCM Strategy: Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with business goals.
  • Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and supply plans to meet business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of S&OP professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
