About The Position

Midas Hospitality is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to join the team at our dual property. This person will grow existing accounts for both sides of the hotel (extended stay and transient stay), and generate new business to ensure that property revenues are meeting or exceeding goals. The Director of Sales will lead all sales efforts and sales related activities at the property.

Requirements

  • At least three years in a Director of Sales position (or similar role) at a hotel.
  • Experience working in a hotel setting is a must.
  • Outside sales calls are required.
  • Personal vehicle is required for travel.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in both transient and extended stay settings.

Responsibilities

  • Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts
  • Effectively move share from competitors to Midas hotel, achieving desired RevPAR index goals
  • Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, and site visits
  • Ensure ongoing hotel sales of Corporate, Leisure, Tours & Travel and group segments are achieved through solicitation of organizations, professional market segment associations, travel agents, consortiums etc., on a consistent basis
  • Consult with the General Manager and Corporate Director of Revenue Management on rate/inventory suitability of potential group business and review STAR Reports to insure hotel is positioned in the market properly
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture the maximum amount of revenue
  • Prepare status and period end reports.
