About The Position

The Director of Sales (DOS) leads all sales and marketing efforts for the property, driving revenue growth through strategic planning, relationship development, and market engagement. This role is responsible for achieving sales goals, generating new business, and working cross-functionally to support operational success aligned with ARK Hospitality’s mission and standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hospitality sales experience (hotel, resort, or related)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and generate new business
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong sales acumen with ability to close business
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent account management skills
  • High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales systems
  • Valid driver’s license (for local market travel)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with branded hotel systems (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, etc.)
  • Established relationships within the local market
  • Experience using sales automation or revenue management systems

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue, booking, and activity goals
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans across all market segments
  • Identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities (corporate, group, leisure)
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts and key clients
  • Conduct proactive sales outreach, including client meetings and site visits
  • Participate in local networking events and represent the property in the community
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and account production
  • Respond to RFPs in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing strategies and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate reporting and activity tracking in CRM/sales systems
  • Conduct property tours and client site inspections showcasing key amenities
  • Work closely with hotel operations teams to ensure alignment and execution
