About The Position

The Director of Sales supervises all sales activities for their division. This position manages and motivates the sales team to achieve sales goals while continuously providing high-level training on sales techniques and implementing processes. As a Senior leader, this position cultivates a culture of continuous improvement and actively drives process optimization and skill enhancement within the team and the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree minimum four-year degree or have exceptional direct experience at a managerial level. Required
  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience in these or related functions. Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to manipulate and be proficient with PCs and Windows applications.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required
  • You must be able to pass a drug, background screen, and motor vehicle record check (if one is required per the position).

Responsibilities

  • Develops departmental operating guidelines and recommends departmental budgets to supervisors through the budgeting process.
  • Analyzes and evaluates data annually to establish departmental objectives, goals, and budgets.
  • Conducts departmental operations within established budgets.
  • Interviews, evaluates, hires, trains, motivates, supervises, and disciplines all personnel under direct supervision. This includes terminating personnel when necessary.
  • Maintaining a constructive environment for the development and career-oriented advancement of directly supervised personnel. This includes conducting regular Performance Evaluations of all personnel under direct, primary reporting supervision.
  • Manage the problem identification and solving process within the department and with other departments.
  • Schedule, prepare, and present seminars to train all departmental personnel when needed. This includes testing employees on product knowledge and procedural proficiencies
  • Establishes good working relationships and expectations with mortgage and Real Estate companies in conjunction with Marketing.
  • Establishes contacts and good working relationships with City, Civic, Professional, and Business-related organizations.
  • Inspects and evaluates communities, models, and specs with Marketing.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Division Leadership.
  • Acts as a role model and lives the Company’s Values and Behaviors. Know the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Objectives and continually communicate and reinforce these to Team Members.
  • Adheres to written Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of this position. Develop and adhere to departmental operating guidelines and the company’s employee manual.
  • Maintains a constructive environment at work, encouraging Insightful and enthusiastic teamwork that generally creates positive attitudes and builds supportive morale.
  • Participates in training when needed. This includes learning product knowledge, procedural proficiencies, and computer software.

  • This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
