About The Position

We are seeking a strategic Director of Sales to lead our West Region sales team, managing a group of 5 - 9 Account Executives in a high-growth, high-support environment. This is a hands-on first-line leadership role responsible for coaching, developing, and elevating a successful team that is already producing strong results. This role is one of the most visible and collaborative roles on the revenue team. You will play a central part in shaping our GTM motion, culture, and next wave of expansion.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of closing experience in B2B sales (services or facilities industries preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience leading 5+ sales reps (Manager or Director level)
  • A track record of building, developing and retaining high-performing sales teams
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting capabilities
  • A people-focused, data-driven leadership style that balances development, accountability, and collaboration
  • Strong CRM proficiency and a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Exceptional communication, situational leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Grow, and Elevate a High-Performing Team
  • Develop and empower AEs through weekly 1:1s, coaching sessions, and field support
  • Provide hands-on deal strategy guidance and pipeline inspection
  • Build individualized development plans for each team member
  • Promote a culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Drive Regional Revenue Strategy and Predictable Execution
  • Own regional forecasting, pipeline health, and activity management
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of our sales process and CRM standards
  • Partner with marketing and SDR teams to ensure robust pipeline generation
  • Drive strong activity metrics and targeted prospecting efforts across the region
  • Operate As a Key, Trusted Member of the Sales Leadership Team
  • Collaborate closely with the CRO, RevOps, Marketing, and Service Teams
  • Provide insights and feedback to strengthen our GTM motion
  • Participate in leadership meetings, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic projects
  • Serve as a values-driven culture carrier for a winning, growth-oriented team
  • Support Expansion and Market Growth
  • Execute regional playbooks that strengthen OpenWorks' reach, brand, and competitive position
  • Identify emerging opportunities and high-potential markets
  • Travel and represent OpenWorks in customer meetings, team sessions, or leadership events as needed
