We’re looking for a hands-on, high-energy Director of Sales to drive adoption of the Alveo Sense analyzer and our Avian Influenza assay across North America. Initially, this is an individual contributor role — but with a clear path to building and leading the North American sales organization. You’ll thrive here if you: Love building from zero to one Can close complex, strategic deals Know how to turn early wins into repeatable revenue engines Are equally comfortable in the field, in the executive suite, and in the CRM This role owns sales strategy, revenue execution, and ultimately the build-out of the NA Sales Team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience
  • Proven ability to close complex B2B deals with long sales cycles
  • Strong forecasting and pipeline management discipline
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Builder mentality with a bias for action

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into the North American poultry market
  • Background in molecular diagnostics or point-of-need testing
  • Experience hiring and scaling sales teams
  • High-growth or venture-backed company experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a scalable sales strategy aligned with aggressive growth targets
  • Own revenue, forecasting, pipeline discipline, and performance metrics
  • Drive new customer acquisition and long-term account expansion
  • Identify new verticals, partnerships, and channel opportunities
  • Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing North American sales team
  • Establish sales processes, playbooks, and performance standards
  • Create a culture of accountability, energy, and execution
  • Personally lead complex, high-value strategic deals
  • Optimize CRM, reporting, and sales operations infrastructure
  • Partner with Marketing to refine messaging and accelerate lead generation
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term retention
  • Provide market feedback to Product and Engineering
  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy
  • Support executive-level strategy discussions
