About The Position

The Dual Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for two IHG-branded hotel properties: EVEN Hotel Portland – Portland and Staybridge Suites Hillsboro - Orenco Station. This leadership role is focused on driving topline revenue growth through strategic account development, market penetration, revenue collaboration, and team leadership. The position oversees all sales activities including corporate, group, extended stay, local negotiated, and catering opportunities while ensuring alignment with IHG brand standards and company objectives. The Dual Director of Sales & Marketing will develop and execute strategic sales plans designed to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability for both hotels. This role requires strong business development skills, proactive sales leadership, analytical decision-making, and the ability to effectively balance the unique business needs of two distinct hotel assets. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel technology systems required.

  • Ability to analyze financial data, market trends, and operational information to support strategic decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Director of Sales or multi-property sales leadership experience preferred.
  • IHG brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with extended stay, select-service, and dual-property hotel operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of revenue management principles, STR reporting, forecasting, hotel sales analytics, and market performance metrics.
  • Experience utilizing Quore Sales, Delphi/FDC, hotel PMS systems, and other hotel sales or CRM platforms preferred.
  • college coursework or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans for both hotel properties to achieve revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share goals.
  • Coordinate all group, transient, negotiated, extended stay, and catering sales efforts to maximize overall hotel revenue performance.
  • Generate new business through proactive outside sales calls, prospecting, networking, client entertainment, and community involvement.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying new market opportunities within the corporate, group, government, project, and extended stay segments.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Operations teams to analyze market trends, pace, STR reports, forecasting, and competitive positioning.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly Field Marketing calls with IHG representatives to review brand initiatives, market performance, sales strategies, and revenue opportunities.
  • Attend and actively contribute to Revenue Management meetings and strategy calls to evaluate pricing, forecasting, market demand, occupancy trends, and overall revenue optimization for both hotel properties.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales activity reports, production reports, forecasting updates, and pipeline reporting utilizing the Quore Sales platform.
  • Maintain accurate account management, lead tracking, sales activity documentation, and client communication records within Quore Sales and other required hotel systems.
  • Monitor booking pace, account production, and market trends to identify opportunities for increased market share and revenue growth across both properties.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and manage annual sales budgets, marketing plans, advertising initiatives, and promotional strategies for both hotels.
  • Lead cross-selling opportunities between the two hotels to maximize occupancy and market share across both assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all IHG brand standards, sales initiatives, company standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize hotel sales systems and tools including CRM platforms, Delphi/FDC, Quore Sales, IHG reporting systems, and RFP management tools as applicable.
  • Understand contract language and negotiate terms with clients to ensure profitability and operational success.
  • Supervise sales, catering, and event management functions as applicable to each property.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage sales team members while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and results-driven performance.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue goals, RevPAR performance, forecasting accuracy, production reporting, individual and team sales performance metrics, and overall budgeted objectives.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, forecasting reviews, and business development planning discussions.
  • Train hotel associates to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities that increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of all hotel operations including Front Office, Reservations, Food & Beverage, and Housekeeping to better support sales initiatives and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong visibility within the local business community, chambers, tourism organizations, and industry associations.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings, conference calls, brand trainings, and company functions.
  • Maintain professional working relationships and open communication with hotel ownership, management company leadership, brand representatives, and all hotel departments.
