About The Position

The Director, Sales (Distribution Operations) is responsible for developing and leading strategic sales plans aligned with organizational goals. This position holds responsibility for the execution of sales initiatives which lead to the achievement of revenue targets, market share growth, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or another relevant field
  • 5+ years' experience leading B2B sales activities in the manufacturing or distribution industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Compressed Air industry experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, CRM, and ERP systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team to achieve established targets
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and create forecasts
  • Excellent networking skills with the proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to travel 25-30%

  • CAGI Compressed Air System Specialist Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, replication, and adherence of the go-to-market strategy and subsequent achievement of strategic sales initiatives
  • Responsible for the growth and management of the sales team, revenue, and market-share growth.
  • Responsible for recruiting, objective setting, coaching, and performance management of sales team
  • Drive accountability through the monitoring of metrics and data to measure sales team results versus targets
  • Oversee the utilization and adherence of the company CRM tools by all sales staff
  • Assign and realign sales territories as required to maximize awareness and conversion rates
  • Cultivate new customer relationships, maintains partnerships with key customers, and develops national accounts within the Pattons service area
  • Produce monthly and quarterly sales forecasts; execute plan to achieve budgeted sales
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitive landscape
  • Conduct sales meetings and coordinates product sales training sessions
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned
