About The Position

The Director of Sales, Commercial Accounts, plays a critical role in expanding Life Science Connect’s client base by identifying, engaging, and converting new enterprise accounts. This position focuses on developing relationships with marketing and commercial leaders within life science organizations that have not yet partnered with Life Science Connect. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives on prospecting, consultative selling, and growing early-stage relationships into strategic partnerships before transitioning accounts to long-term portfolio management.

Requirements

  • Strategic prospecting and consultative selling skills with a focus on value-based engagement.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B marketing and sales funnel, and experience engaging decision-makers across marketing and commercial functions.
  • Ability to qualify opportunities, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against defined revenue targets.
  • Confidence in representing Life Science Connect’s brand and solutions in executive-level conversations.
  • Collaboration skills to ensure seamless handoff and relationship continuity with senior account leaders
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within life sciences, digital media, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring and growing new business relationships from cold prospecting to close.
  • Deep understanding of consultative sales techniques and enterprise buying processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new client relationships within the life sciences ecosystem.
  • Conduct needs assessments with prospective clients to align Life Science Connect’s media, data, and event solutions to their business objectives.
  • Deliver compelling value propositions and presentations that demonstrate how Life Science Connect can drive client growth.
  • Manage the early stages of the client lifecycle — from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and onboarding — before transitioning accounts to senior portfolio management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, client success, and insights teams to support tailored go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and forecast performance against sales goals with precision and accountability.
