The Director of Business Development is responsible for leading the external efforts to convert qualified prospects into permanent residents through engagement and attraction from outreach efforts and professional partnerships. Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and public relations skills
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Proven record of identifying and developing professional referral sources
  • Hospitality and customer service experience
  • Keen desire to serve seniors
  • Five years sales/marketing experience with a proven track record
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Creative approach to goals and problems
  • Demonstrates proficiency in: Microsoft Office
  • YARDI or equivalent CRM

Responsibilities

  • Generate new potential professional partnerships by conducting targeted outreach and actively participating in relevant networks within Connecticut.
  • Conceptualize, compose and execute a comprehensive, strategic engagement plan for the professional network related to senior living on the Upper East Side and other surrounding neighborhoods, including community outreach and educational activities for creating referrals.
  • Manage and execute the end-to-end process of meeting, identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership, evaluating, negotiating, and executing on next steps for referrals.
  • Generate 8-12 professional referrals per month.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships within physician networks, hospital executives, executive geriatric professionals and organizations, high net worth financial advisors, high net worth real estate agents/brokers, elder care attorneys/advisors and other relevant professionals in order to generate referrals.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships with executives in competitive markets for collaboration.
  • Establish key performance indicators that will determine the ultimate success of each partnership.
  • Nurture and grow existing partnerships to ensure strategic referral goals are being met.
  • Proactively engage professional partners on a regular basis through meetings and networking to stay “top of mind.”
  • Lead strategic thinking on the execution of high-level professional networking events.
  • Assist in ensuring sales goals are met by the collective efforts of thoughtfully secured appointments with C-Suite and other targeted professionals.
  • Drive sales pipeline thru partnerships and professional relationships.
  • Regularly meet the sales metrics and benchmarks as set by company standards.
  • Collaborate with General Manager, Director of Leasing, Leasing Agents and other team members.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across executive, clinical, strategy, operations, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure close alignment on professional partnerships.
  • Coordinate outreach meetings for other key staff including General Manager, Director of Integrated Care, or Sales Team Members.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Leasing on sales and marketing goals.
  • Approach all encounters with potential residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Promote Inspir in a positive manner and effectively communicate the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers and the community.
  • Provide education, support and resources to caregivers and professionals.
  • Provide outreach and create networking opportunities with professionals.
  • Effectively use CRM to maintain a high-quality outreach and sales effort.
