Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in safety management, with a strong track record of leading safety programs for multiple operational sites
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build positive safety cultures and promoting employee engagement and accountability.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, and loss control
- Ability to travel and work at multiple operational sites across the United States
- Knowledge of workers' compensation, loss control, and risk management.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing safety programs.
- Ability to travel and work at multiple operational sites across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Safety Coordinators and site safety programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, and influencing outcomes across teams.
- Design and lead a world-class, zero-harm safety strategy across multiple operational sites
- Drive a proactive safety culture that builds engagement, ownership, and accountability at all levels
- Standardize and deliver impactful safety training and awareness programs across facilities
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and strengthen controls
- Ensure full safety compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local regulations
- Partner with operations to proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards and risks
- Lead safety incident investigations (accidents, near-misses) and implement corrective actions
- Oversee safety programs including emergency response, workers’ compensation, return-to-work, and safety leadership development initiatives
