Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in safety management, with a strong track record of leading safety programs for multiple operational sites
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build positive safety cultures and promoting employee engagement and accountability.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, and loss control
  • Ability to travel and work at multiple operational sites across the United States
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation, loss control, and risk management.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to travel and work at multiple operational sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Safety Coordinators and site safety programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, and influencing outcomes across teams.
  • Design and lead a world-class, zero-harm safety strategy across multiple operational sites
  • Drive a proactive safety culture that builds engagement, ownership, and accountability at all levels
  • Standardize and deliver impactful safety training and awareness programs across facilities
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and strengthen controls
  • Ensure full safety compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Partner with operations to proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards and risks
  • Lead safety incident investigations (accidents, near-misses) and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee safety programs including emergency response, workers’ compensation, return-to-work, and safety leadership development initiatives
