About The Position

General Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rooms to oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Concierge/Bell operations while helping drive operational excellence throughout the hotel. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring guests receive outstanding service while maintaining high operational standards across multiple departments. We’re looking for a confident leader who thrives in hospitality, understands the importance of team development, and knows how to create a culture built on accountability, service, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in hotel operations, Front Desk, or Housekeeping (Required)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading teams and improving operational performance
  • Guest-focused mindset with strong service recovery skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Professional presence with a positive and solutions-focused attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with hotel operating systems and reporting tools (Preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Concierge/Bell operations
  • Lead, coach, and support department leaders and team members
  • Help maintain exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards throughout the hotel
  • Monitor labor, department expenses, and operational performance
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and departmental planning
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and safety regulations
  • Address guest concerns professionally and implement service recovery solutions when needed
  • Partner with accounting and hotel leadership on operational and financial reporting
  • Conduct room inspections and support quality assurance initiatives
  • Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development for team members
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction
  • Participate in Manager on Duty responsibilities as needed
