About The Position

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified and energetic Director of Risk/PI Management. This role is responsible for the overall risk factors at Austin Oaks Hospital, ensuring the quality of patient care and protecting the facility’s assets from loss. The Director of RM coordinates loss control efforts, advises management on potential sources of loss, and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The Quality Improvement and Risk Management Programs are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of the Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a psychiatric facility serving adults and/or geriatric population
Experience with compliance activities
Experience with JCAHO standards
Experience with risk management
Experience with performance improvement activities

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field
Training in healthcare compliance activities
Training in healthcare safety/risk management
Training in hospital performance improvement activities
Training in hospital administration
CPHQ certification
Supervisory experience
