Poplar Springs Hospital is a 183-bed acute care and residential facility with over 30 years of experience in behavioral health services for adults and adolescents, including programs for active duty military. Located in Petersburg, Virginia, the hospital offers a serene, nature-like setting. The new opening for a Director of Risk Management, under the direction of the CEO, involves providing oversight and technical support in quality improvement and regulatory issues across all clinical and non-clinical areas. This role has broad responsibility to protect the hospital’s assets from loss, coordinating loss control efforts, and advising management on potential sources of loss to minimize exposure. The Risk Management Program must comply with guidelines and standards of The Joint Commission, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. © Program. The position also supports strategic planning, program development, and leadership in integrating medical, clinical, and organizational quality improvement throughout Poplar Springs Hospital, ensuring congruence with corporate Strategic Plan/TERM Program and facilitating its implementation at the facility level.
