About The Position

The Director of Rewards is responsible for implementing the local compensation plan and managing Group reward programs in alignment with Group Rewards guidelines. This role, along with the Sr. Director, is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of local Reward policies and ad hoc programs such as Sales Incentives, Short Term Incentives, Retention plans, Benefits plans, and 401k plans, all in alignment with Group Principals. The Director will monitor and analyze local market trends and evaluate external competitiveness to drive local rewards strategies. This position acts as the local focal point for Reward-related topics, including systems, providing consultancy and expertise to Group/Local stakeholders and sharing best practices. The role also contributes to the Reward digitization process and ensures compliance with all relevant laws and practices, including federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company Union Contracts. The Director will implement and ensure the competitiveness of benefits programs, including medical, life insurance, prescription, vision, dental, short/long term disability, and retirement plans, and is responsible for local Benefits Administration and leave design, implementation, and management. Vendor management and local job evaluation are also key responsibilities, as is ensuring compliance with wage and salary regulations. The Director will provide detailed analysis on internal and external equity, contribute to the definition and monitoring of KPIs and the P&O Dashboard, and assist with data for negotiations. Budget adherence for Compensation and Benefit programs will be monitored and reported. The role also involves implementing the Group’s expat policy, conducting Reward training sessions, carrying out Group and local projects, evaluating the department for improvement opportunities, and managing assigned people, ensuring a system based on values, diversity & inclusion, competence development, and empowerment. This includes recruiting, managing, motivating, coaching, and developing their team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of reference for the Group in local job evaluation of new and revised positions.
  • Conduct internal job audits to ensure wage and salary rate recommendations follow regulations (FLSA, DOL etc.).
  • Keep updated job descriptions tracked and ensure consistency.
  • Provide detailed analysis on internal and external equity and prepare reports for P&O leadership, P&O Business Partners, or Line Managers.
  • Contribute to definition and monitoring of KPI’s and the P&O Dashboard, and assist with data for negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and Group budget guidelines.
  • Apply proper budget methodology to calculate the merit increase budget.
  • Monitor performance and prepare reports to Group and local leadership for budget adherence for Compensation and Benefit programs.
  • Implement Group’s expat policy and serve as the local point of reference for expat-related technical topics.
  • Conduct regular Reward training sessions for P&O.
  • Carry out Group projects and local projects to ensure proper and consistent implementation.
  • Evaluate the department for consistent improvement opportunities and lead projects to implement initiatives.
  • Manage assigned people, ensuring a management system based on values, diversity & inclusion, competence development and empowerment.
  • Promote proper communication and cascade through line managers to the teams.
