Lexington Regional Health Center is seeking a full-time Director of Revenue Cycle to provide leadership across all revenue cycle operations including patient access, billing, coding coordination, Accounts Receivable (AR), and collections. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to improve reimbursement, cash flow, and operational performance, while monitoring key performance indicators. The Director will lead initiatives to improve revenue capture, reduce cycle time, and oversee registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes. Key responsibilities include improving point-of-service collections, ensuring accurate data capture, directing timely billing and claims submission, and managing AR follow-up and denial processes. The position also involves analyzing denial trends, evaluating collection agency effectiveness, ensuring compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and payer regulations, and overseeing chargemaster integrity and billing compliance. The Director will coordinate audits, maintain internal controls, oversee medical records, and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of patient information. Collaboration with clinical leadership on documentation, serving as the HIPAA privacy officer, analyzing revenue cycle data, and partnering with finance on budgeting and forecasting are also crucial. This role requires leading, coaching, and developing revenue cycle staff, establishing departmental goals, supporting staff training, and leading process improvement initiatives. Collaboration with IT on system improvements and driving standardization and efficiency are expected. The Director is also responsible for ensuring compliance with infection control guidelines and governing body standards, maintaining patient and staff safety, and performing all other assigned duties.
