About The Position

Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) is a vertically integrated real estate investment and operating company with fully integrated capabilities across acquisitions, asset management, and in-house operations. Founded in 1960, the firm owns and manages a $4.5B+ portfolio spanning over 10 million square feet of retail properties nationwide and approximately 10,500 apartment units throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. CRC is currently investing its seventh fund and continuing to scale its acquisition platform and capital formation capabilities to support future growth across multiple strategies and market cycles.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience in retail real estate acquisitions, investments, or brokerage
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and closing real estate transactions, preferably shopping centers
  • Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills
  • Advance Argus experience
  • Established relationships within the retail brokerage community, with the ability to continue building coverage
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively direct and collaborate with internal analysts and cross-functional teams
  • Regular travel within assigned region(s)
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, vertically integrated investment platform

  • Familiarity with institutional investment processes and fund structures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Source acquisition opportunities through active coverage of brokers, owners, and market participants within assigned region(s) and/or product type(s)
  • Focus on marketed and off-market retail investment opportunities generally exceeding $20 million
  • Build and maintain relationships with property owners, brokerage firms and other market participants on a national, regional and local level
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of target markets, tenant trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Lead underwriting and valuation of acquisition opportunities
  • Work closely with internal analysts to produce accurate and timely underwriting materials
  • Develop value-add strategies, including leasing assumptions, capital expenditure requirements, and capital markets assumptions
  • Present investment opportunities to senior leadership and Investment Committee
  • Lead all aspects of the acquisition process, including contract negotiation, due diligence, and closing
  • Coordinate with internal teams (asset management, leasing, accounting ) and 3rd parties (legal, lenders, consultants)
  • Drive deal timelines and ensure efficient, detail-oriented execution
  • Track market activity, pricing trends, and comparable transactions within target region(s)
  • Provide insight into evolving retail trends and implications for acquisition strategy
  • Participate in portfolio construction strategy and capital deployment planning
