About The Position

Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) is seeking a Director of Respiratory to join their team in Opelousas, LA. This role involves planning, directing, organizing, leading, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department. The Director will develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with regulatory, accreditation, state, and local requirements. Responsibilities include providing in-service training for staff on safety, infection control, and quality assurance, collaborating with Administration on long-range planning and budgeting, managing staffing, and overseeing employee management and payroll for the department.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program with national credentials
Current certification as a CRT or RRT in Louisiana
Current Basic Life Support / CPR card
5 years management experience in respiratory care
Effective management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

Plans, directs, organizes, leads and coordinates the day-to-day operation of the Respiratory Department.
Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with regulatory, accreditation, state and local requirements.
Provides in-service for staff to include safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
Works with Administration to develop long range planning and budgeting.
Manages staffing for the Respiratory Department.
Contributes and participates in all committees.
Manages employees and payroll for the Respiratory Department.
