About The Position

The Director of Resource Development is a dynamic, high-impact leadership position responsible for designing, executing, and scaling a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our mission and ensure long-term sustainability. Reporting to executive leadership, this role provides strategic direction for all philanthropic revenue streams, donor relations, and community engagement efforts, while actively managing a robust portfolio of major donors and corporate partners. The Director works together with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and program staff to identify funding opportunities, cultivate cross-sector relationships, and secure philanthropic support. The ideal candidate will combine visionary strategic planning with interactive and practical execution, leveraging CRM to drive data-informed decisions, oversee high-profile campaigns, secure major gifts, and elevate the Club's brand across Southeast Wyoming.

Requirements

Nonprofit development experience and passion, with a proven ability of securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and meeting revenue goals.
Leverage CRM software experience to manage donor databases, execute data analytics, and deliver strategic reports.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to craft compelling cases for support, grant concepts, and donor proposals.
Natural ability to connect genuinely with diverse audiences, including corporate executives, foundations, volunteers, and staff.
Proven ability to transition seamlessly between macro-level strategy design and micro-level execution in a fast-paced setting.
High degree of professional integrity, emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive donor information.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a multi-year resource development plan aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
Lead and grow diversified revenue streams, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, annual campaigns, grants, and major gifts.
Establish ambitious annual fundraising goals, systematically track performance metrics, and pivot strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Identify, research, and pursue emerging funding opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability.
Actively manage a portfolio of major donors, prospective supporters, and key community stakeholders.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through highly personalized engagement plans and effective communications.
Equip the CEO and Board members to effectively participate in relationship-building and donor solicitations.
Implement gold standard donor appreciation, recognition, and retention strategies.
Supervise the creative planning, budget management, and execution of signature fundraising campaigns and special events.
Build and fortify mutually beneficial corporate partnerships to increase corporate social responsibility (CSR) investment.
Ensure all fundraising activities and materials align with Boys & Girls Clubs brand and mission.
Serve as a primary public ambassador for the Club, expanding its footprint across Southeast Wyoming business and civic sectors.
Maintain a highly visible presence at business functions, civic organizations, and community meetings.
Serve as the organizational champion for Salesforce software, optimizing the system for donor tracking, pipeline management, and data analytics.
Establish and enforce best practices for CRM utilization, data cleanliness, and gift processing across the team.
Generate comprehensive reports and real-time dashboards to brief executive leadership and the Board on development KPIs.
Foster a culture of philanthropy among internal staff, volunteers, and the Board.
Partner with program directors to understand operational needs and map them directly to funding opportunities.
