About The Position

As a Regional Director of Rehab, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring operations for overall quality, effectiveness, and financial viability. You will work with the Rehab Team to ensure operational and clinical functions deliver desired results across your defined area. This role takes responsibility for the development, retention, hiring, performance management, compensation, and engagement of therapy staff, partnering with HR resources and implementing an optimal staffing plan. You will oversee the clinical competency of therapy staff and the implementation of core programs, clinical resources, and applicable specialty products within your site(s). You will also deliver patient care and/or clinical supervision to meet each patient’s goals and needs as prescribed by a medical doctor and determined by the evaluation and treatment plans, ensuring all care delivery is consistent with individual licenses. Additionally, you will ensure staff is properly licensed and trained in skilled therapy documentation, complete reviews for documentation quality and billing integrity, and assist customers within the designated geography with outreach and program development. You will partner with sales and marketing in various areas to assist in the development of new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction through strategic planning, organic growth, problem resolution, and relationship management. You will oversee assigned territory compliance with accurate documentation, billing of therapy services, and denials. You will also partner with the HR administration team and supervisory staff to ensure completion of annual compliance requirements. Therapy Assistants in this role do not treat. Meetings attended by the DOR such as PPS or MDS are for sharing information only. The Therapy Assistant DOR is to share information with the treating therapists, allowing for a registered therapist to make any clinical decisions. Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice; Physical Therapy / Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a treating therapist or therapy assistant; minimum 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of therapy management experience.
  • Currently Credentialed Documentation Auditor (CDA) or ability to become credentialed within six (6) months.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays

  • Partners with salesperson and marketing in a variety of areas to assist in the development of new business opportunities.
  • Ensures and validates customer satisfaction through strategic planning, organic growth, problem resolution and relationship
  • Oversees assigned territory compliance with accurate documentation billing of therapy services, and denials.
  • Partners with the HR administration team and supervisory staff to ensure completion of annual compliance requirements (California specific)
