About The Position

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department at Grand Rapids Care Center in Grand Rapids, Ohio. This position is ideal for an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to take the next step in their career or an established rehab leader seeking a supportive, therapist-led organization. We are strongly interested in candidates with a COTA background who are passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence. As Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee the daily operations of the therapy department while helping ensure exceptional clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines patient care with management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
  • Previous leadership experience or strong desire to move into leadership
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation operations and reimbursement systems
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop clinical teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily therapy department operations
  • Supervise and mentor PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP staff
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor department productivity, staffing, and clinical outcomes
  • Coordinate scheduling and caseload management
  • Partner with facility leadership to support census growth and resident satisfaction
  • Participate in patient care and treatment delivery as needed
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on clinical excellence
