About The Position

Powerback is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation to lead rehabilitation services in a facility. The role oversees all rehab services, provides direct patient care, and ensures high standards of rehabilitation services. The Director supports, grows, and mentors a clinical team of therapists and assistants, guiding them in designing, implementing, and executing programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ abilities. The position calls for collaboration, adaptability, appropriate referrals, and a consistent focus on patients’ needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a rehabilitation discipline: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and problem-solve appropriately.
• Thorough knowledge of all state practice acts.
• Ability to interact positively with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel, and the general public.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate staff.

• Master’s degree preferred.
