About The Position

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is hiring a full-time Director of Rehabilitation at Berea Healthcare Center. Therapists and leaders are in-house team members. The role provides an opportunity to make a direct impact on residents through therapy. The position combines clinical care, treatment planning, staff education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and rehabilitation department documentation and billing responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be a state-licensed clinician (PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA) who graduated from an accredited program.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, screen, and treat facility patients and residents who need therapy services.
When serving as the evaluating therapist, conduct evaluations under physician orders and develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
Implement treatment plans through direct treatment and education of therapists and other team members involved in care.
Attend and lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate, and serve as a resource for clinical programming and caseloads.
Communicate clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of the rehabilitation team.
Collaborate with facility and corporate Denials Management Specialists regarding ADRs and denied therapy claims.
Conduct staff and family training and education through formal and informal in-services and consultations.
Maintain accurate daily billing information in accordance with facility procedures, train or retrain team members, and comply with rehabilitation department documentation requirements.
