About The Position

We are looking for an energetic Director of Rehab at Marshall Manor in Guntersville, Alabama. Position is open to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant's, Occupational Therapist's, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant's, Physical Therapist's, or Speech-Language Pathologist's.

Requirements

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant's, Occupational Therapist's, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant's, Physical Therapist's, or Speech-Language Pathologist's
• Customer Service: Stays in touch with customers on a regular basis and is pro-active to avoid problems rather than reactive in managing crisis. Demonstrates a sense of urgency in addressing customer issues. Has developed relationship of trust and partnering with each customer. Demonstrates ability to lead the customer to achieve the desired outcome. Attends facility meetings on a regular basis and is visible and available to the customer.
• Employee Service: Promotes teamwork and employee work satisfaction. Has empathy and understanding for the needs of others. Has good employee retention and loyalty. Has developed mutual respect with team and demonstrates leadership and team motivational skills on a consistent basis. Is readily and visible to team.
• Staffing: Demonstrates logical thinking in opening new positions and achieving desired staff to patient care ratios. Demonstrates good interview and hiring skills. Is successful in recruiting for open positions. Provides good orientation to new employees. Ensures adequate staffing and coverage for each facility on a consistent basis.
• Financial Performance: Tracks PPS and ARDs consistently to avoid costly mistakes. Participates in caseload management activities appropriately. Keeps manager informed of financial performance issues and is pro-active in maximizing opportunities. Effectively manages employee time off and labor expense. Reviews remittance notices monthly to ensure customer payment of services.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrates ability to be objective and assert ideas and opinions in a non-aggressive manner. Communicates directly to avoid “grapevine” passing of information as much as possible. Demonstrates ability to effectively counsel and coach employees to achieve desired outcomes. Communication is open and honest. Communication is professional with proper use of grammar and syntax.
• Administrative Functions: Completes payroll activities timely and accurately. Maintains accurate logs of vacation balances, licensure expiration dates etc. Ensures that end of month logs are accurate and submitted timely to facility bookkeepers and supervisor for billing. Forms are ordered as needed as well as nametags etc.
• Clinical Performance: Ensures that employees have access to clinical help as needed. Routinely monitors QI reports. Completes routine QA audits on charts for completeness and accuracy. Ensures that assistants have supervision as needed and required by law.
• Problem Solving and Initiative: Keeps manager informed timely of pertinent issues. Puts action plans into place to correct problems and better yet intervenes early to avoid problems. Demonstrates ability to independently problem solve and initiative to take action. Follows through with plans and recommendations. Prioritizes issues accurately. Gives and receives feedback positively. Demonstrates flexibility. Demonstrates understanding of “big picture” instead of always task focused, and passes this vision along to team. Stays on top of issues and brings them to resolution.
• Walks the Walk: Consistently demonstrates open, honest and caring attitude. Never ask more of team than willing to give personally. Behavior and actions consistently demonstrate a pursuit of excellence. Sets an example of hard work, diligence, perseverance and honesty for team to follow.
