About The Position

We are a skilled nursing facility that serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. With state-of-the-art equipment and unparalleled comfort and amenities, our physician-driven care plan is designed to maximize the quality of our care. We are looking for a Director of Rehab. This is a very high volume, fast paced position and requires a person who can work well under pressure and is comfortable with multi-tasking. The primary responsibility of the Director of Rehabilitation is to plan, coordinate and manage the rehab department in order to ensure that the highest level of patient care is provided and maintained.

Requirements

  • MUST hold a current PT, PTA, OT, COTA, OR SLP license. Candidates without a current, valid license will NOT be considered. Licensure is required for the position, no exceptions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position in skilled nursing facility is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining compassion
  • Must be self-motivated and have excellent follow-through
  • Have the ability to multi task and keep a calm demeanor even in chaotic situations
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information
  • Be a champion of positivity and high morale

Responsibilities

  • Ensures rehab department is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ensures patients records and reports are maintained up to federal, state, local and Company’s regulations
  • Provides education and training for PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP staff on the Centers related policies and procedures
  • Manages the rehab department and staffing within the budget
  • Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator and HR as required concerning the operation of the rehab department
  • Coordinates and participates in care plan meetings
  • Handles complaints/issues in a timely manner
  • Performs administrative duties as required by the position
  • Monitor the facility’s survey reports and assist in developing plans of action to correct potential or identified problem areas
  • Responsible for, in conjunction with HR, the recruitment and selection of Rehab Staff
