Director of Regulatory Execution
About The Position
The Director of Regulatory Execution is accountable for ensuring the Pricing & Underwriting Division’s operations and business practices comply with regulations, thereby mitigating regulatory, compliance, financial, operational, and reputational risk. The Director of Regulatory Execution will oversee the research and adoption of regulations by working cross functionally with departments within the Pricing & Underwriting Division and the Legal & Compliance Division. The Director of Regulatory Execution will partner with designated representatives of the Pricing & Underwriting Division and the Legal & Compliance Division by facilitating working groups to map out and design the path forward for the execution of regulations. The expected outcome is cross functional collaboration, risk minimization, and regulatory compliance, thereby ensuring the company adheres to regulations.

Responsibilities
- Remain apprised of changing regulations to include analyzing their impact on the organization.
- Develop and maintain documentation to include comprehensive standard operating procedures, policies, and training programs to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while partnering with respective subject matter experts, resulting in the development of strategies that position the organization to adopt regulations.
- Identify and consult on the resolution of operational risks relative to workstreams designed to efficiently and effectively enable adherence to regulations.
- Maintain an informative tracking system of key deliverables in support of the adoption of regulations.
- Collaborate with business units to identify and assign resources for regulatory compliance actions.
- Work closely with functional departments to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into business operations.
- Ensure roles and responsibilities that pertain to the research, implementation, and adherence to regulations are clearly defined and communicated across the Pricing & Underwriting Division and the Legal & Compliance Division.
- Establish and maintain a communication plan to timely inform stakeholders on progress and/or bottlenecks affiliated with the adoption of regulations.
- Utilize the OneSumX tool to track and manage regulatory compliance activities.
- Utilize project management techniques to facilitate cross functional work groups to enable timely identification of potential challenges, conduct end to end process mapping, and moderate ideation discussions, thereby positioning the adoption of regulations.
- Develop and maintain an escalation path for issue resolution, thereby keeping the implementation of regulations on track.
- Identify and address potential regulatory compliance risks and issues.
