About The Position

The Director of Regulatory and Corporate Compliance is responsible for overseeing service contracts throughout their lifecycle and for regulatory auditing. This role serves as the liaison between program directors and state entities for negotiations and recommendations, with executive oversight. The Director will manage and help reduce compliance risks within Red Rock and ensure accountability to funding entities. They will manage contract changes and addendums related to direct service in an organized system to ensure a smooth, streamlined contract management process. The Director works closely with the General Counsel / CCO to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and develops policies, procedures, and staff training related to corporate compliance objectives and strategies. This role also oversees process improvement for corporate compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

Responsibilities

  • Serves as RRBHS Privacy Officer
  • Oversees Medical Records Supervisor
  • Reviews and revises policies and procedures on an annual basis
  • Works under the direction of General Counsel / CCO to accomplish compliance objectives by leading compliance staff and communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures to direct reports, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Assists in all privacy and confidentiality incident investigations
  • Aids in daily review of Internal Incident Reports (IIRs), submission of Critical Incidents to ODMHSAS, and any necessary incident communication for CARF
  • Oversees Adverse Incident Review process in accordance with RRBHS Agency P&P
  • Reviews, revises, and works to improve Agency Policy and Procedure
  • Oversees Agency Policy, Procedure, Certification, Management Report, and document center database (PowerDMS)
  • Works with relevant committees and cross-functional teams to develop corporate governance guidelines
  • Primarily responsible for the regular review and update of agency Program Plans
  • Auditing/Compliance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements such as ODMHSAS, OHCA and CARF
  • Completing applications for certification/accreditation which requires gathering requested information and submitting within set time period
  • Acts as primary point of contact with state and federal government agencies charged with compliance reviews and audits
  • Assist in development of program plans, orientation guides, and other program documents to ensure compliance
  • Supports continuous auditing and monitoring of identified compliance risks. Reports audit results as well as analyze and recommend actions based on said audit results. Performs follow up activities/procedures to determine whether recommendations have been implemented
  • Notifying HR, Medical Records, QAP, and appropriate sites of upcoming requirements for certification/accreditations and preparation for audits
  • Participating in Exit Interview with regulatory bodies
  • Ensuring completion and timelines for Plan of Corrections (POC) which requires working with QAP and sites to develop and implement the POC
  • Direct Service Contract oversight and monitoring
  • Assist in administration, implementation, and quality control of contracts, as well as various administrative duties
  • Track and maintain detailed summaries of local and federal legislation affecting the organization
  • Monitor CMS, ODMHSAS, OHCA, and CARF updates and assist in timely implementation of applicable rules/standards/updates
  • Maintains awareness and communication of certifying and funding agency standards from Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service (ODMHSAS), the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA), the Oklahoma Department of Health, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
  • Serves as point of contact for and person responsible to complete the National Mental Health Services Survey (N-MHSS) and National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services (N-SSATS) web survey
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments/programs including Management Team
  • Participates in ongoing in-service education programs and staff development programs
  • Assist with special projects as requested by the CEO or General Counsel
  • Performs other duties as required
