SupplyBank.org is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Director of Regulatory Affairs and Policy to help advance one of the most ambitious community-serving development and policy initiatives in California. This role is approximately 80% focused on Oakport — a transformative shoreline restoration, environmental resilience, infrastructure, and nonprofit campus project in Oakland — and 20% focused on broader SupplyBank.org policy, advocacy, and public-sector initiatives. The position offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of public policy, community development, environmental resilience, infrastructure, and social impact alongside leading experts in engineering, environmental planning, nonprofit operations, workforce development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will play a central role in helping navigate complex regulatory and policy landscapes while supporting long-term investment in underserved communities. This position is well suited for someone seeking significant professional growth, meaningful public impact, and the opportunity to help shape a nationally significant project with deep local and statewide relevance. Oakport has the potential to become a transformative model for equitable development, and we are seeking a thoughtful, experienced leader to help move that vision forward. This position currently follows a hybrid work schedule with three in-office days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two optional remote workdays, subject to organizational needs and project demands. Additional in-person meetings, community events and partner engagements may occur throughout the year. We strongly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds who meet the qualifications below and are passionate about equitable community development and creating meaningful long-term impact in underserved communities to apply.
