About The Position
The Director of Recreation will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of the facility. This role also involves participating in discharge planning, developing and implementing activity care plans and resident assessments. The Director will serve on and attend various facility committees, such as CQI, Care Plan Meeting, and Department Head Meeting. Additionally, they will prepare and project the annual budget and track expenditures monthly.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role
- Must be familiar with documentation requirements for Long Term Care
- Must possess leadership ability and motivational skills for effective communication and program development with staff and residents
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings/weekends
- Activity Director Certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with dementia activities preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of this facility
